APMP Maple Leaf Chapter webinar - Pre-proposal Planning - The Evolving Procurement Landscape

Please register for APMP Maple Leaf Chapter - Pre-proposal Planning - The Evolving Procurement Landscape in Canada on September 18, 2019 1 PM Eastern/10 AM Pacific/ 11 AM Mountain/ 2 PM Atlantic at: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/9170231941086163981

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Trade agreements, environmental considerations and the increasing use of digital technologies and innovative service delivery models are driving procurement departments, especially in the public sector, to question the use of tender bids as the default procurement paradigm.

Join us on September 18th to learn more about the pain points faced by procurement organizations in Canada and the latest emerging models and best practices that they are embracing to overcome these challenges. This webinar will discuss the use of an agile negotiated procurement model to reduce the time and costs of procurements, while meeting requirements for fairness and competitiveness.

You will learn what these changes mean for the proposal professional and the impact of new procurement models on proposal development processes. In particular we will focus on the use of a modular RFP approach and the strategies which can be used to time box negotiations with a view to saving both the proponents and the procuring organizations time and money.

Your presenter is Richard Corley (https://www.goodmans.ca/People/Richard_Corley/?srch=Corley), one of Canada’s most respected thought leaders in the areas of procurement, outsourcing and technology and cleantech. Richard is a partner at Goodmans LLP, and has 25+ years of experience advising government and private sector clients on complex procurement/outsourcing transactions, cleantech and other technology-related matters. Richard’s perspective is informed by a unique background in engineering, mathematics, computer science and business. He is a member of the board of the Building Energy Innovators Council (BEIC), a founding director of Canadian Institute for Exponential Growth (which organized the SingularityU Canada Summit), a director of the Canadian Technology Law Association and a director and faculty of the Centre for Outsourcing Research and Education (CORE).

APMP Canada - Maple Leaf Chapter webinar - Which type of proposal software is right for you?

Please register for APMP Canada - Maple Leaf Chapter - Which type of proposal software is right for you? on September 25, 2019 1:00 pm Eastern/ 10 am Pacific / 11 am Mountain / 2 pm Atlantic at: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6433031828738984459

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

About this webinar:

We all know that every winning proposal needs a bit of hand-crafted panache to be compelling, compliant, and competitive. But more and more companies are realizing they can get even more of an edge by augmenting the process with the right technology.

But which technology to use?

Over the past few years, three main categories of proposal software have entered the market:

  • Proposal Software. Products facilitating the creation of unsolicited proposals to clients or prospects, helping produce highly automated online proposals.

  • RFP Software. Applications for creating responses to RFx’s, based on centralized Q&A libraries.

  • Proposal Search Engine. Applications not requiring the centralization and constant upkeep of content, using AI and machine learning to search existing systems like SharePoint, Google Drive, Wikis, or network drives.

During this webinar, we will describe each category in more detail, and how to decide which is best for you.

Presenter Profile

Pierre-Olivier Charlebois, CEO and Founder - Graduated from McGill University in 2005 with an Honors Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering. PO became a researcher in brain-computer interfaces at Thought Technologies, and subsequently as a Gameplay Programmer at Ubisoft Montreal. He founded Koneka in 2008 as a custom Software Development company that worked primarily with public sector clients in the legal and medical industries. At the end of 2013, Koneka changed direction and became reDock, producing proposal search software. In 2014 PO won TieCon Canada PitchFest 2014 and in June 2018, he was awarded the 40 Under Forty for the National Capital Region.

APMP Maple Leaf - Pre-Proposal Planning Webinar: "How to transform the gold mine of government data into business intelligence

Please register for APMP Canada /Pre-Proposal Planning Webinar: "How to transform the gold mine of government data into business intelligence" on October 30, 2018 12 PM Eastern / 9 AM Pacific / 10 AM Central / 1 PM Atlantic at:

https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/6226764540084526081

“How to transform the gold mine of government data into business intelligence to increase your success rate on public tenders”

After 10 years being involved in Canadian public tenders and bid management, Fabien Durand, the presenter, has noticed that the latest technologies have not, as of yet, reached proposal management work, including BIG DATA and Business Intelligence. As a result, there are many missed opportunities combined with lack of market intelligence, leading to missed revenue targets, frustration and disappointment.

After seeing this again and again, Fabien realized the missing piece is the ability to harness the huge amount of available data that is not, by itself, ready for consumption by bid teams everywhere.

That’s how SmartGovData was born!
We are living in a “World of DATA”, and it’s now possible to have a competitive edge in public markets for suppliers.

This presentation will explain how Governments are working to award contracts and how do they spend their budgets. We will present Dashboards that will change working process for Executive, Sales team, Marketing and Bid management teams. We will introduce new ways to make strategic data-driven decisions and to get competitive intelligence.

Fabien is the Quebec Regional Chair of the Maple Leaf Chapter, a B2G expert, president of Keepoint / SmartGovData.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Maple Leaf Chapter Summer School - Session 2

La traduction française suit le texte anglais.

The APMP Maple Leaf Chapter is very pleased to launch a fun and exciting new program aimed at helping you improve your proposal skills. Welcome to Proposal Summer School!

The Summer School Program will be focused on helping some of our new proposal professionals develop their proposal skills, but will also serve as a refresher for our more experienced members.

We will take the next few months to walk you through two main aspects of the proposal creation, using webinars and short assignments to help you develop new skills. Our goal is to give you constructive feedback and help you write the best proposals possible!

TO OUR STUDENTS: This program is all about you! We want to answer your questions, teach you new skills, and get your feedback on what you’d like added to the curriculum.

TO OUR MORE SEASONED MEMBERS: Brush up on some skills, get a refresher or learn new trends. And, if you have something you would like to share on one of our topics or tips and tricks you feel could be of value, we would love to hear from you!

Please join us on July 11th for our first webinar on writing cover letters and executive summaries using the Shipley Guide Four-Box Template. In this webinar, you’ll get your first assignment – return it to Mary Anne by July 18th. All members who submit an assignment will receive personal feedback.

Please join this wrap-up webinar on July 25th to get further general feedback on assignments submitted and next steps for your development.
