Description: This webinar will provide information about Editors Canada, as well as discuss the different styles of editing, the role of an editor, and how to find an editor to work with you on your proposals. We will also share information on the Editors Canada professional development webinar program and offer a promotion code for APMP members to try out a webinar.
Presenter bio: Elizabeth Macfie is Editors Canada-certified in proofreading, copy editing and stylistic editing, and she teaches those skills. She does comparative-read translations and provides bilingual services. Past projects include coaching policy analysts in business writing, creating a bilingual style guide for a real estate organization, editing articles about international education, editing a bilingual conservation report for Parks Canada, proofreading Capture: Unraveling the Mystery of Mental Suffering by David A. Kessler, and presenting seminars (workshops) on editorial skills. She has been the chair of Editors Ottawa-Gatineau, a member of Editors Canada's national executive council, and president of the Indexing Society of Canada.
